Texas Music for a Texas-Sized Cause
Maysfest is an event produced under the umbrella of the RB EYE Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit foundation committed to raising funds for and awareness of pediatric eye disorders. Maysfest specifically raises money to support the fight against Retinoblastoma, a rapidly developing cancer of the retina, through Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.
Maysfest began several years ago as a small back-yard music festival for friends and neighbors and has grown into an annual event with multiple Texas music acts, raising more than $150,000. Held at the Weatherford home of Susie and Jonathan Mays, this year’s Maysfest is schedule for Saturday, May 18. Gates open at 1 p.m. and will include an afternoon and evening of live Texas music, silent and live auctions, food, all outdoors under the Texas skies.
